Macadamia belongs to the proteaceae family is a fairly common in South Africa and Australia. Proteaceae species are plants, well adapted to life in arid climates, so they have hard leaves, but underground they have special bodies that can retain moisture.
Just macadamia is native to Australia. It is a small tree that reaches 15 meters in height, and having rigid leaves, as in most proteaceae. Many believe the fruit of this plant is nuts. Now they can be found not only in Australia. They are grown in other countries, for example, in South America. Australians regard the macadamia sacred, because I know about the many healing properties of this plant. Outside of Australia, the macadamia fruits are considered very expensive compared to other nuts, so the technology of their Assembly and workpiece is very complicated.
They have a rounded shape, with a diameter of about two cm and very hard surface.
This nut was named after a friend of one Australian scientist Muller – John Mac – Adam. The Australians call it, of course in his own way, using the names of different medicinal properties of this plant.
Since the nuts were growing previously, only in Australia in 1970 in Queensland planted the first trees, and nut business began to flourish, so these nuts are also called Queensland.
Originaldatei are very expensive – over $ 30 per kilogram, because, in spite of attempts to develop this activity, nuts are still grown quite a few. Their production on an industrial scale has not yet mastered, they are very difficult to grow and purify. But the main thing is that they are expensive – large amount of valuable, natural ingredients.
These nuts contain proteins, fats, carbohydrates, natural sugars, mineral substances, vitamins and minerals – potassium and calcium. Continue reading
Healing is one of the oldest forms of medicine. Its roots are found in all world religions, in magic, in folk healers. Almost all inhabitants of the planet believed, believe and will believe in the healing power of God, saints, mother nature.
Healing is a redistribution of the healing energy that is present in every living organism and promotes healing. The nature of healing is difficult to explain. But just to say only one thing: there is a certain energy, an obscure and little known that gifted people (healers), and often simple people, can collect, concentrate and pass on to others in order to cure physical and psychological ailments.
Capacity for healing in each of us, only in different degrees of development. The energy of life hidden in the human body, its immense power and immeasurable. But we don’t know her neither control nor properly use. Therefore live a relatively short time, self-destroying themselves in all types of disharmony that causes rapid aging and various disease of our bodies. When we are in harmony with the environment and your own body, then our health is normal. But when harmony is broken, the mechanism of self-healing starts to malfunction and we’re trying to change: normally we go to the doctor for help and begin to take prescribed medicines or are searching for a healer. And sometimes you just begin to self-medicate. At least once in life, everyone tried to treat myself at least herbs. And experiencing severe pain, many persuade themselves in the following words: “it is necessary to suffer, to worry, soon the pain will go away”. And it is at first glance a simple self-hypnosis actually is one of the mechanisms of self-healing.
Remedy we do not soon change traditional medicine. The reason for that fear, disbelief in oneself and physiologically abnormal dependence on drugs. However, it is possible to do without the usual pills and tablets, if you set yourself up for a speedy recovery and to do some exercises. Continue reading
WWF and charitable project “World around you” summed up the results of the programme for the sustainable harvesting of medicinal herbs in the Altai. One important outcome was the creation of a network of responsible suppliers.
The healing properties of herbs Altai is known far beyond the borders of the region: today the Altai teas, cosmetics enriched with herbs and various balms can be found not only on the shelves of Altai, but also in shops of most Russian cities.
High demand is known, creates and offer: thousands of local people involved in the process of harvesting medicinal herbs. For many, this work is the main source of income. However, few people know about the consequences of uncontrolled harvesting of plants: irresponsible collectors mercilessly destroy many rare species.
WWF and charitable project “World around you” the Corporation “Siberian health” was launched in the Altai program on responsible harvesting of medicinal plants by the locals. The main goal of the project was to teach the population the correct harvesting herbs: what types, in what terms, in what ways and in what quantity can be procured, as well as their properly dried and processed.
“A positive outcome from these programs is huge, — says project coordinator of the Altai-Sayan division of WWF Elena Repetunova. — With the right approach and careful attitude to plants, such procurement can become a significant legal and quite sustainable source of income for the local population, and most importantly, this alternative method will not harm the unique ecosystems of the Mountain Altai”.
